Learn how to self test if you have any type of hip imbalance.

I will share with you how many types of hip imbalances could you suffering by. How to self test if you have any. And then what to do when you realised, you have one or maybe more in a combination.


First of all. Why could this bother you at all? Because if you have any types of imbalance of the pelvic, that could cause crazy pain for you (sciatica, piriformis syndrome just name of few..) But most importantly because: If hip is not in place your whole body is in missaligned.


Let's see then. Please come with me, I will show you personally my case:


Maybe this is the reason why I am interested to take more care about this special issues, as I have it since I was 20. I digged into this field. After all articles and books and Yoga and energyhealing thechniques I know what feels right to heal... I literally feel your pain.


Mine connecting to my knee injury I had when I was 20. And unfortunatley if you had any injuries in your past (knee, ankles) almost sure you have hip imbalance too.


The results is still a problematic knee with a constantly work on my legs and hip muscles to strech back them to original size as they shortening time by time on the affected side. yepp... Need to keeping your condition in a certain level. (obviously, the time frame how long you feel ok is depends on the effort you put in, and the amount of stress you put back to your body .) They at least need to be equal. But better if care is more then the stress :) (Stress could be anything: A wrongly setted desk in your office, a bag on your shoulder, time pressure, pushy boss, hold the mouse, type on phones, injuries, wrong shoes etc...


Types of hip imbalance could occur in human body


1. When you feel and yes its literally true that one of your legs is shorter then the other. Call it Side pelvic tilt.





How to self test?


Please ask help from a partner or friend. Make your hip free. Stand normally and put both hands on the hip both tumbs on that "spot" what you ll feel its inner than the other part of your body. Then make a boom-fie (boom selfie).. if you will see on the picture that one tumb is lower ( like you can see it on this picture the left tumb is lower) then the other then you suffer with hip imbalance at the moment. Why I say at the moment? Because its depend on your overall body wellbeing. But we could say you ll know you have it always like this or just recently happened this change because maybe your body got too much " stress"




2. Pelvic rotation - in 3D


Here is a picture for that: In practice this is like one of the leg is stepped forward a bit then the other. Obviously its not but you feel it in the hip area like this. Could make it worst if you always cross same (affected) leg over the other.

How to self test

Lie on the floor (need to be a hard surface) put both of your hands on your hip bone. Do you feel any is outer then the other? If yes here we are :)

3. the forward / Anterior pelvic tilt vs posterior pelvic tilt


Right hand side you can see the forward tilted hip, what is cause a kind of pregnant effect on the stomack and a very curved lower back - what is very painfull for the owner. Im still in the group.... On the middle is the backward tilted hip what is cause too straight spine called military back. And the normal is on the left.

How to self test ( Im showing only the forward one here)


Stand side way front of a mirror. If you see that your pants line is rising towards your back, you have this imbalance. This is what you will see . I tried to tilt it better than it is to help you see very well:



How to heal this type of hip imbalance


Believe it or not with this simply movement on picture down below you can heal it yourself. But with sit ups do not. The reason is the already shortened muscles as we sitting, so we need to balalnce them back. If you have this posture thats means that you have a weaker abs stronger lower back, weaker gluteus and stronger front legs muscles. (Bike not helping at all)
